Ben Folds is an American piano player and singer-songwriter from Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Folds found fame in the mid-nineties with his band Ben Folds Five. Curiously, the band consisted of only three members. After they temporarily disbanded in 2000, Folds made a name for himself as a solo act, and set off on several global tours.
