Who are Slipknot?
Slipknot first stepped into the spotlight in 1995, making a name for themselves with their unique blend of alt/rap-metal and neo-shock rock. The group rapidly rose to fame following the release of their self-titled debut album in 1999, eventually becoming one of the most prominent acts in the nu-metal explosion of the late 1990s and early 2000s. Slipknot are known for their aggressive style and chaotic live performances. Over the course of their long and successful career, the band has undergone several lineup changes and endured a handful of hiatuses, maintaining their loyal fanbase throughout it all. They have released a total of six studio albums and sold over 30 million records worldwide.
