The Weeknd Announces 2022 Stadium Tour
The Weeknd has announced plans for an extensive North American tour this year in support of his most recent albums Dawn FM and 2020's After Hours.
The 17-date trek kicks off July 9 in Toronto, ON, and will go on to hit cities including New York, Chicago, Tampa, and Denver. A final performance in Los Angeles, CA will see The Weeknd wrapping things up stateside before bringing the show overseas.
Fellow chart-topper and "Get Into It" singer Doja Cat will be joining the trek as a special guest.
The newly announced tour comes after The Weeknd had to postpone his tour for a third time last year due to the pandemic. At the time, he promised fans that a new version of the tour would be "something bigger and special for you which requires stadiums." Looks like he's stuck to his word.

In 2013, The Weeknd released his debut album Kiss Land, followed by Beauty Behind the Madness in 2015, the latter of which became his first Billboard 200 number one album on the strength of number-one singles “Can’t Feel My Face” and “The Hills.” Beauty Behind the Madness earned The Weeknd two Grammy Awards, including one for the track “Earned It,” which also received an Academy Award nomination for its feature in the 2015 film Fifty Shades of Grey. He has since released three additional studio albums, including 2016's Grammy-winning Starboy, 2020's After Hours, and 2022's Dawn FM.
