Bowling Green Hot Rods

The Bowling Green Hot Rods are a Minor League Baseball team and a Class A affiliate of the Tampa Bay Rays and play their home games at Bowling Green Ballpark in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

Bowling Green Ballpark, where the Hot Rods play their home games, is a state-of-the-art stadium that opened in 2009. The stadium is known for its great atmosphere and has been named one of the best minor league ballparks in the country.

In their short history, the Hot Rods have made the playoffs seven times, most recently in 2019. The Hot Rods have also won three league titles. The team is hoping to build on their success and bring another championship to Bowling Green in the near future.

The Hot Rods have a few notable rivalries within the Midwest League. One of their biggest rivals is the Dayton Dragons, a team located just a few hours north of Bowling Green. The two teams have a fierce rivalry that has been building since the Hot Rods joined the league in 2009. The Hot Rods also have a rivalry with the Fort Wayne Tincaps/a>, another Midwest League team.

One interesting fact about the Hot Rods is that they have had a few players who have gone on to play in Major League Baseball. The most notable of these players is pitcher Blake Snell, who played for the Hot Rods in 2013 before eventually making it to the big leagues with the Tampa Bay Rays. Snell went on to win a Cy Young Award with the Rays in 2018.

Overall, the Bowling Green Hot Rods are a great example of a successful Minor League Baseball franchise. With a beautiful stadium, a passionate fan base, and a commitment to developing future Major League players, the Hot Rods are a team that any baseball fan can appreciate.
