The Clinton Lumberkings

The Clinton Lumberkings is part of the Prospect League, an independent Minor League Baseball comprising teams of eligible NCAA college players from North America and beyond.

The home park for the LumberKings is NelsonCorp Field in Clinton, Iowa. The stadium was built in 1937 as a Works Progress Administration (WPA) project and named Riverview Stadium, due to its location on the banks of the Mississippi River. It was renamed Alliant Energy Field in 2002 and renovated in 2005–2006 to a capacity of 4,000. It was renamed Ashford University Field in 2011 and NelsonCorp Field in 2019.

The Lumberkings have a long and storied history playing within the Midwest League. They won the final game in 1991 and made it to the semi finals almost every year. Since joining the Prospect League, Lumberkings won the division championship in 2021.

The team has an enormous roster of notable players over the years, including Ian Kinsler and Orel Hershiser. While the Lumberkings have had their ups and downs over the years, they remain a beloved and important part of the Clinton community. Whether you're a die-hard baseball fan or just looking for a fun night out with friends and family, a trip to NelsonCorp Field to watch the Lumberkings play is an experience you won't forget.
