Colin Jost is a stand-up comedian, actor and writer best known for his work on Saturday Night Live (SNL). Jost has served as a writer for the award-winning show since 2005, brought on board shortly after his graduation from Harvard University. He has played the co-anchor role on its “Weekend Update” skit since 2014 and cites fellow SNL stars Norm Mcdonald and Tina Fey as influences on his “Update” anchor work. Jost was the co-head writer of SNL from 2012 to 2015 and was named co-head writer again in 2017. He has earned four Writers Guild Awards, a Peabody Award and has been nominated for multiple Emmy Awards for his work on SNL. Jost has appeared as a stand-up comedian on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon as well as on TBS and HBO. He also wrote and starred in the Paramount/Netflix film “Staten Island Summer,” based on his days as a lifeguard growing up in NY. His writing has been featured in The New Yorker magazine, The New York Times Magazine, Huffington Post, The Staten Island Advance and Radar.
