Meet Common
Rapper, actor, writer, and philanthropist Common stepped into the spotlight with the release of his debut album Can I Borrow a Dollar? in 1992. He maintained a loyal underground following late into the decade before achieving mainstream success thanks to his work with Soulquarians. His major-label debut album Like Water for Chocolate arrived in 2000, achieving commercial success. Common has taken home several prestigious awards since making his mainstream breakthrough, including three Grammys and a Golden Globe. He has released a total of 11 studio albums and appeared in countless films and television shows, including Hell on Wheels, Smokin' Aces, American Gangster, Happy Feet Two, Date Night, Terminator Salvation, Wanted, and many more.
