Interpol currently consists of founding members Paul Banks and Daniel Kessler on vocals and guitars with Sam Fogarino on percussion. The group began playing in lounges and venues around their hometown of New York City in 1997. Their breakthrough would come with the release of their debut album Turn on the Bright Lights in 2002, solidifying the trio into a successful indie rock act and earning the number one spot on Pitchfork magazine’s 50 Best Albums of 2002. The success of their first album was followed by more of the same with the release of Antics (2004), Our Love to Admire (2007), and Interpol (2010) before the band entered a year-long hiatus to focus on other projects. In 2014 they made a triumphant return with El Pintor, which debuted at the number one spot on the US Top Alternative Albums chart.
Recently, Interpol announced a North American tour that will coincide with the highly anticipated release of their next album, Marauder! Check out the schedule below and catch a show at a city near you.
