Jethro Tull is an English rock band whose experimentation across the blues and hard rock genres created a unique progressive sound that was initially dismissed by critics. Their first commercial success came in 1969 with the folk blues album Stand Up, which held the top spot on U.K. charts. The band broke up in 2014 but reunited, announcing a tour and the release of a new studio album in 2018.
