Joan Jett is an American rock singer who has been dubbed the Queen of Rock ‘n Roll and the Godmother of Punk. She is best known as the frontwoman of her band, Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and a previous member of The Runaways, made famous by the hit song “Cherry Bomb.” While a member of the Blackhearts, Jett was the voice of several popular singles such as “I Love Rock ‘n Roll,” which was number one on the Billboard Hot 100 for two months straight. Other hits included “Bad Reputation” and “Crimson and Clover.” In 2015, Jett was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
