John Sebastian is an American singer/songwriter, guitarist, harmonicist and autoharpist. He is best known as a founder of The Lovin' Spoonful, as well as his impromptu appearance at the Woodstock festival in 1969 and No. 1 hit in 1976, "Welcome Back". As an original member of The Lovin' Spoonful, Sebastian was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000. He was also inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2008.
