Powerhouse vocalist and contemporary Christian artist Lauren Daigle first emerged in 2010 when she appeared as a contestant on reality competition series American Idol. Despite being cut from the pool of contestants twice, Daigle continued to follow her dreams, eventually signing to a record label in 2013 and releasing her debut album, How Can It Be in 2015. The album shot to the top of the charts, reaching number one on the Billboard Top Christian Albums chart and eventually earning a platinum certification from the RIAA. How Can It Be’s success served as a sign of things to come for the rising star, who went on to release her second full-length album Look Up Child in late 2018. The album spawned the pop-crossover hit single “You Say,” propelling the album to the number three spot on the Billboard 200 and earning Daigle her first two Grammy Awards. Look Up Child became the highest-charting Christian album by a woman in over two decades. In addition to her two Grammy Awards, Daigle has taken home several prestigious awards for her soulfully sultry vocals, including seven GMA Dove Awards, two Billboard Music Awards, and two American Music Awards.
