The group rose to fame with the release of hits like "Mojado", "Un poco de sangre", "Cocodrilo", "Pachuco", and "Un gran circo". La Maldita's sound incorporates several styles including elements of ska, rock, and traditional Cuban forms such as the bolero and Cuban Son.
