Electronic music duo Maribou State emerged in 2011, working tirelessly on several EPs and singles in their self-built studio. Chris Davids and Liam Ivory teamed up in London with a common goal of creating emotive, electronic tunes that draw on inspiration from house, indie rock and garage music. Their debut album Portraits was released in 2015, followed by sophomore album Kingdoms in Colour in 2018. Aside from releasing their own music, the duo has also worked on and released remixes for acts including Alpine and dream pop sensation Lana Del Rey.
