Ottmar Liebert is a critically acclaimed and world-renown guitarist, best known for his Spanish-influenced music. A five-time Grammy Award nominee, Liebert has earned 38 Gold and Platinum certifications in the US in addition to several certifications in Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Liebert rose to fame in the 1990s, releasing his platinum-selling debut album Nouveau Flamenco in 1990. The album was followed by several successful albums, including Borrasca (1991), Solo Para Ti (1992), and The Hours Between Night + Day (1993), each of which earned Gold certifications. His international success continued with subsequent releases – Viva! (1995) and Opium (1996), both of which achieved Platinum status in the US and Latin America. Liebert has released a total of 25 albums since making his debut nearly three decades ago. He has self-described his musical style as "Nouveau Flamenco."
