The Preservation Hall Jazz Band has proudly carried the torch of New Orleans music for over 50 years, reminding music lovers of the vast and vibrant musical history of NOLA. The PHJB derives its name from Preservation Hall in the French Quarter, and was founded by New Orleans tuba player Allan Jaffer in the early 1960s.
