Meet Smokey Robinson


Smokey Robinson is an R&B and pop singer from Michigan. Raised in Detroit, he had early exposure to the music of Motown, which went on to provide the inspiration for his Motown group ‘The Miracles’, which performed for almost twenty years. Following the end of that group, Smokey Robinson returned to the scene with a splash, releasing multiple top ten Billboard Chart hits, eventually earning him a spot in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Smokey Robinson is often named as one of the greatest Motown singers of all time.
