The Staten Island FerryHawks

The Staten Island FerryHawks are a professional independent baseball team and a member of the American Association of Professional Baseball (AAPB) and play their home games at SIUH Community Park in Staten Island, New York.

The FerryHawks were founded in 2021 and are one of the newest members of the AAPB. Despite their short history, the team has quickly gained a following in Staten Island and has shown promise on the field.

SIUH Community Park, where the FerryHawks play their home games, is a modern stadium that opened in 2001. The ballpark can seat up to 7,171 fans and features a state-of-the-art playing surface and modern amenities such as luxury suites and a picnic area.

Despite their short history, the FerryHawks already have a few notable rivalries within the AAPB. One of their biggest rivals is the Long Island Ducks, a team that is another New York City-based team that plays in the AAPB.

One interesting fact about the FerryHawks is that they have the first woman to start an Atlantic League game Kelsie Whitmore. Whitmore also became the first woman to pitch in an Atlantic League game on May 4, 2022.p>
