Stevie Wonder is an Academy Award winning soul/R&B singer-songwriter and piano player. The legendary Rock and Roll and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductee is one of the most successful, iconic, and talented musicians of the twentieth century, with twenty-five Grammy Awards, which is the most Grammy wins ever won by a solo artist. Stevie wonder was born blind, but was recognized for his gifted musical abilities at a very young age. He signed his first record deal when he was just 11 years old, and has been writing and playing music ever since.
Stevie Wonder first saw success as 'Little Stevie Wonder' throughout the 1960's. Even at his young age, Wonder rose to popularity and produced multiple hit singles. He continued his prolific career throughout the 1970's but saw his most success and fame in the 1980's. During this time period, Wonder would write and release many of his ten number on hit singles and record some of his most widely recognized and respected work. Wonder will go down in history as a legend and an icon, and has shaped the music industry forever.
