Straight No Chaser is an acappela group from Bloomington, Indiana. The ten piece vocal harmony group was formed at Indiana University, which is well known for having a highly esteemed music program. The group covers a wide range of vocal ability, ranging from low bass tones to high male tenor parts. The group is one of the most successful acappela groups of all time, supporting a non-traditional popular genre on a mainstream level.

The group sang professionally for twelve years at a somewhat sustainable level of success, but it was not until 2006 that they were able to achieve mainstream success with the help of YouTube.
