The duo are considered pioneers of the big beat genre. The Crystal Method’s dance-based electronic music incorporates a rock-band feel, creating a sound uniquely their own. Ken Jordan retired from music in 2017, with Kirkland adopting The Crystal Method as a solo moniker.
