Christian metalcore group The Devil Wears Prada formed in 2005, taking their name from the novel and rebranding it to fit their anti-materialistic views. Founded by all Christian members, the group maintained a theme that represented their religion set to heavy riffs and death growl vocals. The Devil Wears Prada made their mainstream breakthrough with the release of their second full-length album Plagues, spawning hit singles “HTML Rulez D00d” and “Hey John, What’s Your Name Again?” Both tracks produced music videos that aired regularly on MTV and Fuse, broadening their fan base to much more than just the Christian metal scene. Over the years, they have released an additional four studio albums and have become regulars on the music festival circuit in the US. Following a bit of instability in their lineup, the band currently consists of founding members Jeremy DePoyster, Mike Hranica, Andy Trick and new lead guitarist Kyle Sipress, who came on board in 2015.
