Meet The Doobie Brothers

The Doobie Brothers are a rock pop/folk band based out of San Jose, California, formed in 1970. The group rose to prominence with the addition of singer songwriter and keyboardist Michael McDonald in the mid-1970's, who wrote multiple hit singles for the group and propelled them into success. McDonald brought a more intricate, jazzy and funky element to the music that separated them from other rock acts at the time. Over the course of their time as a band, the Doobie Brothers sold over forty million records and been highly influential among fellow musicians. With just a few original members and the addition of other respected musicians, the Doobie Brothers of the twenty first century have maintained their popularity and are acclaimed as well seasoned performers.
