The Strumbellas emerged from Toronto in 2012 with a vibe that was uniquely their own. The group rose to success on the strength of their distinct blend of alt-country, folk, and pop, which they’ve dubbed as “folk popgrass.” Their debut full-length My Father and the Hunter landed them a Juno nomination in 2012, while their second album We Still Move on Dance Floors garnered them another nom, as well as a win, the following year. 2016 saw the release of their third LP Hope, bringing the band international recognition and a number one single with “Spirits.” The Strumbellas have continued to expand their fanbase, touring across the globe and appearing at various music festivals in 2017. In 2018 they returned to the studio, releasing their latest single “Salvation” in November of that year.
