The Bellingham Bells

The Bellingham Bells part of the West Coast League, a summer collegiate Minor League Baseball. The team has a reputation for developing young talent and sending players on to successful careers in professional baseball.

The Bells take their name from the original Bellingham Bells who played at Battersby Field from the 1930s to 1988. The original Bells came to prominence under the leadership of Joe Martin who helped lead the Bells to 20 National Baseball Congress Washington State titles and multiple top five finishes at the NBC World Series. The Bells dominated the WCL north in 2018 going 35-19 and winning both the first and second half titles for their division. The team has also produced a number of Major League players including Marc Rzepczynski of the 2011 World Series Champion St. Louis Cardinals, Jeff Francis of the 2007 National League Champion.

The Bells play their home games at JJoe Martin Stadium in Bellingham, WA. The stadium has a seating capacity of 1,600. The field has an unorthodox southwest alignment, home plate to center field rather than the the recommended east-northeast alignment.

Overall, the Bellingham Bells are a team with a rich history in the West Coast League. With a strong playoff record, a talented roster, and a commitment to their community, the Bells are a team that is sure to be a force in the WCL for years to come.
