Death metal rockers Cannibal Corpse emerged in the late 1980s with some of the most violent sounds and subject matter ever to be recorded. Despite receiving very little radio or television exposure over the course of their career, Cannibal Corpse began to amass a cult following after the release of their 1991 album Butchered at Birth and 1992's Tomb of the Mutilated. The band has endured several lineup changes over the years, with bassist Alex Webber and drummer Paul Mazukiewicz remaining the only constant members. At different times over the course of their career, the group has been banned from performing in several countries, including Germany and Russia (as well as the sale or display of their original album covers). Cannibal Corpse's sound has essentially remained the same over the course of 14 studio albums. They are the best-selling death metal band of all time.
