The Normal CornBelters

The Normal CornBelters is part of the Prospect League, an independent Minor League Baseball comprising teams of eligible NCAA college players from North America and beyond.

The CornBelters play their home games at The Corn Crib in Normal, IL, a stadium with a capacity of 7,000. The stadium is relatively new, completed just in time for the CornBelters' inaugural 2010 season.

Despite being a relatively new franchise, the Normal CornBelters have had some success in the Prospect League. The team had 51 home games in 2010 and their season and finished with a 44–52 record. Two CornBelters were named 2010 All-Stars and played in the All-Star Game: RHP Tyler Lavigne and 3B Daniel Cox.

Overall, the Normal CornBelters may be a relatively new franchise, but they have made a significant impact in the Prospect League. If you're in the area during the summer, be sure to catch a game at The Corn Crib and experience the excitement of Minor League Baseball.
