Reggae band Rebelution formed in Isla Vista, California and consists fully of graduates from the University of California, Santa Barbara. The lineup features Eric Rachmany, Rory Carey, Marley D. Williams, and Wesley Finley, who met while attending the college. They started out playing at local gigs and independently releasing an EP. Rebelution released their first full-length album, Courage to Grow, in 2007, which became their breakthrough. It peaked at number four on the Billboard Top Reggae Albums chart and was one of the most downloaded reggae albums on iTunes. Since then, the band has released six albums, their lastest in 2018. Rebelution earned their first Grammy Award nomination in 2017 for their fifth album, Falling Into Place.
