Primus is a rock band whose major label debut, Sailing the Seas of Cheese, put them on the map with singles like "Jerry Was a Race Car Driver" and "Tommy the Cat," eventually achieving gold status.

Their second album, Pork Soda, debuted at number seven on the Billboard Top 10. In 1996, the band composed the theme song for the popular show, South Park.
