What is the National Association of Ticket Brokers?

The National Association of Ticket Brokers (NATB) was founded in 1991 with the mission to ensure that buyers and sellers of event tickets have rights and freedoms when it comes to what they chose to do with their tickets. The NATB holds its ticket broker members to high standards when it comes to selling tickets to ensure that buyers are treated fairly and with respect.

What does the National Association of Ticket Brokers Do?

The NATB fights for ticket buyer and ticket seller rights, and aims to educate the public on the ticketing industry. Particularly, they focus on how the industry works, what to look for when buying tickets, and most importantly, red flags to avoid when shopping for tickets. They are governed by the NATB code of ethics, to which they hold all of their members accountable. If a ticket broker is a member of the NATB, they are held to the highest of standards when selling tickets to a live event.

Why the NATB Is Important

The NATB is important because they are an advocate for fair markets in the live event ticketing industry. They ensure their members act fairly and respectfully in their ticket-brokering practices. The NATB also runs on a code of ethics which sets the standard for ticket buying and selling. Additionally, they stand on the Ticket Owners Bill of Rights, which are 8 rights defined to ensure fair and honorable practices in the ticketing market.

They also advocate on behalf of buyers and their members for the rights of all ticket owners to provide a fair environment for buying and selling tickets. They do so through their stringent code of ethics, legislative advocacy, and in the general public.
