Meet Rise Against
Rise Against is a hardcore punk band based out of Chicago. During their first couple years as a band, they did not see mainstream success, but did acquire a considerable underground following. After signing with Geffen, they saw a huge increase in album sales and put out popular hit songs. Three of their albums went gold, making them an extremely successful band considering the hard rock style music that they play. The group is politically and socially opinionated, advocating against drugs and alcohol and as a proponent of vegetarianism.
