Sevendust is an alternative metal/hard rock band hailing from Atlanta, Georgia. Formed in 1994, the group went through several name changes before settling on Sevendust, even releasing a song on the Mortal Kombat (1996) soundtrack titled “My Ruin” under the name Crawlspace. They released their self-titled debut album under their current name in April 1997. The album charted on the Billboard 200, remaining there for sixteen weeks and going on to achieve gold status in May 1999. In the years since, the band has released 11 more studio albums, earned additional chart success and achieved gold sales and certification on several occasions. Their single “Thank You” from the 2015 album Kill the Flaw earned the group their first Grammy nomination. Sevendust’s latest project, All I See Is War, dropped in May 2018 and has received critical acclaim.
