The Avett Brothers are a folk rock/pop band from North Carolina. Brothers Seth and Scott Avett founded the band and have been playing together from a very young age. The Avett Brothers achieved minor success in their earlier years as a duo, with Scott primarily on the banjo and Seth on the acoustic guitar. It wasn’t until their breakthrough album Emotionalism that they really made a splash on the mainstream music circuit.
