Weezer is an alternative rock/pop band from Los Angeles, headed by lead guitarists and singer-songwriter Rivers Cuomo. Weezer saw immediate success with their debut album “The Blue Album’, which had multiple hit singles and was met with extremely positively reviews. The follow up album ‘Pinkerton’ drew less critical appraisal, and fans were disappointed with the turn that it took. Years later, the album went on to become highly regarded and was considered to be their best according to their die-hard fans. Still, lead singer Cuomo went into seclusion for the next four years, apparently feeling regret and disappointment about his work. They returned with a bang in 2001 with the Green Album, and have been popular ever since.
Weezer remains one of the most influential alternative rock bands of the 1990’s.
