A Perfect Circle is an American rock group from Los Angeles, California that was formed in 1999 by guitarist Billy Howerdel and Tool vocalist Maynard James Keenan. They have released a total of four albums: their debut Mer de Noms in 2000; a follow up, Thirteenth Step in 2003; an album of radical war cover songs titled Emotive in 2004; and Eat the Elephant which ended their 14-year hiatus in 2018. APC’s albums have garnered positive reviews and have done well commercially throughout their career. Their first album earned them the “Best Debut Album” Award in the California Music Awards. The band’s last album before their hiatus, Emotive, debuted at number two on the Billboard 200.
