Supercross is a highly technical form of off-road motorcycle racing that evolved from trials competitions originally held in the UK. Supercross is simply a much more organized, promoted and advertised version of motocross racing, typically held for large numbers of spectators and televised, usually in large indoor arenas or outdoor stadiums on artificially-made dirt tracks. Supercross racing exploded in the early 21st century after growing consistently since the 1970’s, and it is the second most popular form of motorsports today behind NASCAR.
