With a clothing designer for a front man and a name derived from the closing line of Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean, it’s no wonder Bring Me the Horizon has been turning heads since day one. Established in 2004 and hailing from England, BMTH got off to a rough start before the release of their second studio album Suicide Season in 2008. The album represented a major musical shift in their sound, departing from their original deathcore genre, and served as a creative and critical turning point in the band’s career. BMTH has continued to evolve their sound over the years, with 2010’s There Is a Hell, Believe Me, I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret drawing on classical, pop and electronica music and 2013’s Sempiternal reflecting influence from genres like reggae, ambient music and dance. Their sixth album That’s The Spirit (2015) marked another change in sound, departing from their metalcore roots and moving more towards a melodic, alt-metal approach. BMTH’s constant evolution of sound has kept fans around the world on their toes, eager to hear what they will come up with next, and the forthcoming Amo (2019) promises to deliver even more surprises.
Recently, Bring Me The Horizon announced plans to tour at the start of next year in support of their latest album. Check out the schedule below and buy tickets to catch them live!
