Mexican singer Carlos Rivera rose to fame after winning the third generation of Mexican reality talent show La Academia in 2004. Following the triumphant win, Rivera was signed to Sony Music and began working on his debut self-titled album while also starting to dabble in musical theater. By 2008, he became the youngest actor in the world to star in the male lead of Beauty and the Beast. He appeared in Mamma Mia! as well as The Lion King in Mexico from 2011 to 2013, and again in Spain in 2015 portraying the lead role of Simba. Rivera has released five studio albums since making his debut breakthrough, appearing in a handful of film and television projects as well as collaborating with several prominent musicians over the years.
