Deep Purple formed in 1968 as a progressive rock band but shifted towards a heavier sound in 1970. Current members include Ian Paice (drummer), Roger Glover (bassist), Ian Gillan (vocals), Steve Morse (guitarist), and Don Airey (keyboard). Together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, they have often been dubbed the "unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal in the early to mid-seventies." In 1975, the Guinness Book of World Records listed Deep Purple as the globe's loudest band. They have sold over 100 million albums worldwide and are among the pioneers of heavy metal and modern hard rock. Don't miss out on witnessing these legends live!
