Machine Head is a heavy metal band formed in 1991 in Oakland, California. Founding member Robb Flynn is the only remaining original and founding band member, but the essence of the music lives on. While the group saw success in their early years in Europe, it wasn’t until the mid-2000’s that they gained international, widespread recognition. Since then, they have been a major influence in the nu-metal movement, and continue to push the boundaries of the genre.
