American heavy metal band Lamb of God got started in Richmond, Virginia in 1994. Originally named Burned the Priest, the group consists of vocalist Randy Blythe, guitarists Mark Morton and Willie Adler, bassist John Campbell, and drummer Chris Adler. They are considered pioneers of the new wave of heavy metal movement. Since their formation, Lamb of God has released eight studio albums, with their most successful being 2009’s Wrath. The album earned them two Grammy Award nominations and solidified them as frontrunners in the heavy metal genre. They have won five Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards and have toured with Metallica.
