Meet Madness


Madness are an English ska band who formed in 1976, becoming one of the most prominent bands of the lat '70s and early '80s two-tone ska revival. Madness' most successful period was between 1980-1986, when the band spent 214 weeks on the UK singls charts. They have had 15 singles reach the UK top ten, including "One Step Beyond," "Baggy Trousers," and "It Must Be Love," as well as the number one hit "House of Fun," and their biggest US hit "Our House." Madness have been the recipients of the Ivor Novello Award from the British Academy of Songwriters, Composers, and Authors for Outstanding Song Collection. The group continues to perform with six of the seven members from their original lineup.
