Master P is a businessman, rapper, actor, producer, basketball player, and philanthropist who initially rose to fame in the mid-1990s as part of the hip-hop music group TRU, and his fifth solo rap album, Ice Cream Man. He hit the top of the charts again in 1997 with the release of his platinum single "Make 'Em Say Uhh!" He has released a total of 15 studio albums throughout his career, launching his record label No Limit Records (now known as No Limit Forever Records.) Aside from his wildly successful career in music, Master P has ventured into a career in acting, starring in several movies including I Got the Hook Up, Soccer Mom, Gone in 60 Seconds, Toxic, and Foolish. An ex-pro basketball player, he was signed to two separate NBA contacts in the late 1990s as well, playing for both the Charlotte Hornets and the Toronto Raptors in 1998 and 1999 respectively.
