Payable on Death, abbreviated as P.O.D., is a Christian nu metal band that emerged from San Diego in 1992. With infectious groove inspired by reggae and Latin music fused with heavier elements of hip-hop and rock, P.O.D. have created a unique sound all their own, while still driving home their defined and universal message. Born-again Christians, the members of P.O.D. places their faith at the center of all their music. P.O.D. made their mainstream breakthrough with the release of their third studio album, The Fundamental Elements of Southtown (1999). The album was certified platinum by the RIAA in 2000 and was followed by more of the same success with the release of the triple platinum Satellite in 2001. Over the course of their 25+ year career, P.O.D. has earned three Grammy Award nominations and sold over 12 million albums across the globe.
