From Wasilla, Alaska comes alternative rock group Portugal. The Man, who first joined forces in 2001 at Wasilla High School. In 2004 they hit the road headed for Portland, Oregon with the intent to record new music and set out touring. Their debut album, “Waiter: You Vultures!” was released in 2006. The group showed no signs of slowing down, playing on tours, releasing Church Mouth (2007), Censored Colors (2008), The Satanic Satanist (2009) and American Ghetto (2010) back to back and independent from any record label. They signed to Atlantic Records in 2010 and released In the Mountain in the Cloud in 2011. Evil Friends followed in 2013, and Woodstock came after in 2017 promoted by the lead single “Feel It Still.” The track reached the top ten in 18 countries and earned the group a Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance in 2018. Portugal. The Man is known for their uniquely artistic music videos, including a short film for 2011’s “Sleep Forever” and “Got It All (This Can’t Be Living Now).”
