Riverbend Experience
Getting to a Show at Riverbend
Riverbend is located at 6295 Kellogg Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio, 45230. We've got you covered with all the options to get there, from public transportation to convenient rideshares.
Riverbend Rideshare Drop-off and Pickup Location
At Riverbend, there are specific pick-up locations for rideshare users. You’ll find the designated pick-up spots at Kellogg Avenue, on the other side of Coney Island Gate 2. Using rideshare to attend an event is a great option because it eliminates the stress of finding parking, which can often be scarce and expensive. Additionally, ridesharing promotes safety by providing reliable transportation if you plan on consuming alcohol during your visit.
Arrival Times for Riverbend?
Arrival times may vary depending on the event, but we recommend arriving at the venue about an hour before the scheduled start time. This gives you some breathing room in case of traffic congestion, parking difficulties, visits to the merchandise store, or if you want to grab some food and drinks before the event starts.
Inside Riverbend
When you come to an event at Riverbend, make sure to bring your ticket and a valid ID, especially if you intend to purchase alcohol. We recommend bringing a credit or debit card and also some cash. Because this is an outdoor venue, it can get a little cold during the winter months (and sometimes year round), so we recommend checking the weather report to consider bringing extra layers and maybe even a blanket. Plus, it might be worth it to carry a rain jacket or poncho just in case the weather changes.

Riverbend Accepted Payment Methods
Riverbend Music Center primarily operates on a cashless basis. This implies that while some vendors may still accept cash, most onsite purchases are done with digital wallets or debit and credit cards. Although Riverbend accepts most credit cards (such as Visa and Mastercard), it is prudent to carry a small amount of cash for tipping and for the few vendors that might accept it inside and outside the venue.
A popular summer music venue located along the banks of the Ohio River, Riverbend Music Center was originally built for the
Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra in 1984. Taft Broadcasting donated about 11 acres of land, and Mr. and Mrs. J. Ralph Corbett contributed $2 million for the construction. It took a year for the amphitheater to be built, and in 1984, Riverbend Music Center was officially opened. In 2008, the Riverbend Music Center's expansion project led to the construction of the more intimate
PNC Pavilion venue right next door.
Designed by renowned architect Michael Graves, this 20,500-capacity open-air music venue is located along the Ohio River in
Cincinnati, OH. Its tent-like pavilion features statues that represent musical muses. At the outer border of the lawn, there is an arcing pergola with a variety of facilities and concessions. Riverbend hosts live concerts, festivals, theatrical acts, and symphony productions. Its stage has been graced by musicians such as John Denver,
Ed Sheeran, and
Gwen Stafani.
The venue is accessible by public bus, hotel shuttle, or cab. For those who drive, the parking fee is typically included in the ticket price. Tailgate parties are prohibited to ensure a safe environment for all patrons.
All events go on rain or shine, and umbrellas are permitted in case of inclement weather. Guests may also bring in lawn chairs with a seat no higher than 9 inches off the ground, seat cushions, small soft-side coolers, small cameras, and binoculars. Backpacks and audio or video recording devices are not permitted inside the venue.
Due to local noise ordinance, the venue has an 11 p.m. curfew. For those who want to party after the concert, Cincinnati boasts a number of nightlife options including breweries, taverns, and dance clubs. The venue is also near
Belterra Park, which features a casino and a racetrack. Upcoming concerts by famous music artists are scheduled this year, and Event Tickets Center offers a wide selection of Riverbend concerts to choose from.
