SAP Center Bag Policy & Prohibited Items
Venue authorities recommend that fans bring bags no larger than 5” x 9” x 2” to ensure a swift entry process. However, they can accommodate bags with dimensions of up to 20” x 14” x 11”. For those opting for larger bags, please take note of the following:
All larger bags, including medical and infant bags, exceeding 5\" x 9\" x 2\" dimensions will undergo Xray inspection. Bags must be able to fit under the seat during the event. SAP Center no longer provides a bag check option or onsite storage lockers.
SAP Center Concessions
Plenty of concessions are available at SAP Center. Non-alcoholic beverages are served as well as alcoholic beverages including but not limited to beer, wine and mixed drinks.
SAP Center Accepted Payment Methods
SAP Center primarily operates on a cashless basis. This implies that while some vendors may still accept cash, most onsite purchases are done with digital wallets or debit and credit cards. San Jose Sharks and the
AHL's San Jose Barracudas. Since opening in 1993, the indoor arena has seen a variety of sporting events, including figure skating, college hockey, arena football, tennis, wrestling and UFC. Most notably, it hosted three games of the 2016 Stanley Cup Finals. The Shark Tank is also a popular concert venue, with stars like

The arena is located just off the Guadalupe Freeway next to scenic Guadalupe River Park. Plenty of parking is available onsite and in the nearby area. Season ticket holders are allowed to pre-purchase parking permits, but otherwise it's first come, first served. The San Jose Diridon Station is within walking distance, so fans can also access the arena via the Amtrak and ACE networks. Doors to Sharks games open 75 minutes before face-off, and professional cameras, selfie sticks and gifts for performers and athletes should be left at home.
Hungry fans can grab a bite to eat at one of the many concession stands at the SAP Center or walk to one of the restaurants within a half-mile of the arena. A short drive to the other side of State Route 87 in downtown San Jose allows for even more options. Outside food is permitted for Sharks games, but not for concerts.
