Meet Slipknot
Slipknot is an alternative metal band from Des Moine, Iowa, formed in 1995. They have undergone typical band member changes, but have remained reasonably consistent after the initial series of alterations. The group is notorious for their abrasive, almost scary image. Live shows include the whole group dressed in creepy masks, and are filled with overwhelming energy, chaos and aggression. Slipknot’s second front man and lyricist, Corey Taylor, has been recognized as one of the greatest heavy metal vocalists of the new millennium. The band is instantly recognizable and well known, and have certainly put their imprint on the heavy metal music scene.
