Aaron Dontez Yates, better known by his stage name Tech N9ne (pronounced “Tech Nine”), is an American rapper, songwriter, actor, and record producer. He first emerged onto the scene in 1991, joining various music groups and subsequently being signed as a solo artist. After enjoying mild success throughout most of the 90’s, Yates and his business partner founded their own record label which they called Strange Music. He has since sold over two million albums, with several of his tracks being featured in films, television and video games. His 20th studio album, Planets, was released in March 2018.
