The Psychedelic Furs are an English band that formed out of the burgeoning punk rock scene in 1970's Great Britain. While their original sound came off as artsy, they gradually branched out musically into the trendy New Wave sound and even some hard rock.
The Psychedelic Furs released seven studio albums between 1980 and 1991, including the iconic “Talk Talk Talk” (1981). They re-recorded the song “Pretty in Pink” from that album for John Hughes' movie of the same name, and watched their popularity skyrocket. This led to the release of their highest-charting album, “Midnight to Midnight” in 1987.
